A nice way to start the day is to work with the 7 directions. To begin you can face the East direction. The East direction works with the element of the air. It is the place of new beginnings, the morning of the day, the spring of the year, the beginning of a new project.
Then face the South, the element is water. The South direction is the busy doing time of the day or a project, the summer of the year.
Then face the West, the element is fire. The West is the sunset of the day, the Fall of the year, enjoying the fruits of your labor of a project.

Then face the above direction. The place of the sky father.
Then face the below direction. The place of the Earth mother on which we live.

Then turn to the within place. The place where we are a spirit embodied.
